Summer Foundation Course
Do you dream of creating your own jewellery or even launching your own brand but don’t know where to start? Begin your jewellery making journey with the Cognac Jewellery School Foundation Course.
Spend a week in the French Countryside with Jessica and learn all the basics of jewellery making and silversmithing, through a carefully curated curriculum of project-based learning in the serene and inspiring setting at the Château de Puyguiller.
During your week you will create at least seven finished pieces while you learn, gaining invaluable insights into the world of jewellery making and craftsmanship through hands-on experience. Jessica will personally guide you through a series of set projects designed to teach you all the essential skills you need to start creating your own designs.

5 days at the Cognac Jewellery School in France with Jessica working through set jewellery projects designed to teach you all the basic skills of silver jewellery making

All the Silver, Gemstones, solder, and learning materials

Workshops are limited to six people to ensure you get the most out of your learning experience

Included in the Foundation course is lifetime access to the Cognac Jewellery School Membership which includes access to all the online courses and at least one new jewellery course a month so that you can keep learning and stay inspired once you get home

A homemade lunch is provided each day, as well as refreshments, teas, coffees etc. (please let us know of any dietary requirements at the time of booking)

You are invited to join us for welcome drinks after the workshop on Monday, as well as a celebration dinner at the end of the week to celebrate your achievements

Craft at least 7 finished pieces of jewellery to take home with you

Whether you are setting up a handmade jewellery business or simply need help with a project, Jessica will be available to give you personalised guidance after you return home

The Beginners Foundation Courses are open to anyone with an interest in making precious metal jewellery. You do not need to have any previous experience.

All the silver, gemstones, silver clay and solder you need to create the taught projects are included.

Absolutely! There are six jewellers benches in total so you can come with a group of friends.
Please let us know on application if there are other people in your group so that we can ensure spaces for everyone
