Terms & Conditions

Please note that when you book your Jewellers Bench or Beginners Foundation Course through the Cognac Jewellery School you are agreeing to and are bound by our Terms and Conditions. Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before booking your residency. All transactions are bound by these Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect from the moment they are posted on the website and it is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions each time you use this website and your continued use of the website will signify your acceptance of our latest terms and conditions. 

The content of this website and all information given to you by the Cognac Jewellery School is for your general use and information only. We reserve the right to change any of our content at anytime. The provider is not liable for any use of the website or reliance on the content, nor are they liable if the website is unavailable for any reason.

Booking and Payment

The Cognac Jewellery school has three payment options available for Jewellers Bench residencies and Beginners Foundation Courses: One upfront payment, Two instalments, and Three instalments. Payment for all bookings are required in full at least one month prior to the workshop. Your place will only be finalised once all payments have been made. Non-payment will result in the cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of your deposit and any payments already made.

Currency: All rates are in Euros and must be paid in Euros. Guests should confirm currency conversions with their financial institutions.

For bookings made more than four months in advance:

Payment for bookings made more than four months prior to the start date are eligible to be paid for in up to three instalments, two instalments, or one upfront payment.

Three instalment plan: A deposit will be requested on booking in order to reserve your bench. The second payment is due no less than three months prior to your start date, and the third payment must be made no less than one month before your start date.

Two instalment plan: A deposit will be requested on booking in order to reserve your bench. The second payment is due no less than one month before your start date.

One upfront payment: Upfront payments benefit from a settlement discount of 10% of the total cost. Your booking is finalised at the time of payment.

For bookings made less than four months but more than one month in advance:

For bookings made less than 30 days in advance:

One upfront payment: Payment is required in full for all bookings made less than 30 days prior to the start date.

Invoices will be sent by email. Accepted payment methods: Credit card, Debit card, Paypal, Apple Pay.

Unfortunately we do not accept cheques, but we can take card and cash payments for extra materials on site.

Cancellations

Please read our cancellation policy in full before applying for the Jewellers Bench or booking the Beginners Foundation Course

If you need to cancel your booking:

Cancellations can be made no less than 30 days before the start date and are eligible for a refund less the non-refundable deposit. Upfront payments are eligible for a refund less 30%. No refunds are provided for early departure.

Transfers

We can transfer you to other dates (if available) up to 30 days prior to your original start date free of charge.

If we need to cancel your booking:

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking we will issue a full refund or, if suitable, transfer you to a new date.

Please be aware that we cannot be responsible for any travel or accommodation fees you may have incurred.
